Our Story, Our Purpose

Founded in 2026, RiseRahama Initiative grew from a simple conviction: that investing in women is the highest-return investment a community can make.

The Foundation

Our Journey to Empowerment

RiseRahama Initiative was founded by Grace Ninsiima, a Ugandan educator and advocate for women and children whose own path of resilience became the foundation for her commitment to empowering others. Having navigated adversity and limited opportunities, Grace chose education, faith, and determination as the catalyst for lasting transformation.

Her journey led her to pursue higher education through BYU-Pathway Worldwide, an experience later featured in the documentary Pathway to Hope, and to share her story on international platforms in New York and Washington, D.C. These experiences deepened her understanding of the systemic challenges confronting vulnerable women and solidified a guiding conviction: when a woman is given education, opportunity, and someone who believes in her, she can rewrite her future and uplift generations.

Based in Uganda’s Masaka District, RiseRahama Initiative exists as an extension of that mission. Through hands-on skills training, economic empowerment, and community mentorship, we partner with women and girls to help them move from survival toward dignity, independence, and hope.

Grace Ninsiima

Founder

Grace Ninsiima is the Founder of RiseRahama Initiative, an educator, and a dedicated advocate for women and children in Uganda. Driven by her own journey of resilience and transformation through education and faith, featured in the documentary Pathway to Hope. Grace has spoken internationally in New York and Washington, D.C. on overcoming adversity and poverty. Through RiseRahama, she is committed to creating safe spaces, expanding access to education and opportunity, and empowering vulnerable women to move from survival toward lasting self-reliance.

Field Officer

Rukiah Namboyera serves on the frontlines of RiseRahama’s initiatives as our dedicated Field Officer. She is responsible for mobilizing community members, coordinating local skills-training sessions, and providing hands-on support to the women and girls in our programs. Her empathy, energy, and grassroots approach help transform our vision into everyday reality.
